Megan Jovon Ruth Pete, professionally known as Megan Thee Stallion (MTS), is a 27-year-old American rapper. She became popular when videos of her rapping starting gaining traction on social media platforms. She was born and brought up in Houston.
Megan Thee Stallion brings a breath of fresh air to the Southern rap scene. She was greatly influenced by the greats, with Pimp C of UGK being one of her favorite artists.
She recalled listening to him as a toddler and was amazed by his delivery. MTS also recalled how she was influenced by the world of hip hop and was writing raps since the young age of 7 years.
In 2012, she got noticed by 300 Entertainment, which successfully launched artists like Migos and Young Thug. MTS was the first female rapper to get signed by the label in the same year.
Over the years, she has delivered many hit songs including Savage, Sweetest Pie, WAP, Big Ole Freak and more. The rapper has many accolades in her name including three Grammys, two MTV Music Awards, four American Music Awards, and many more.
