The Gilmore Girls star and her husband Vincent Kartheiser have pulled the plug from their marriage after a total of 8 years. In the documents obtained by Us Weekly, it has been cited that Vincent filed for divorce from his wife Alexis on August 10 in New York’s Putnam County Supreme Court.
Alexis and Vincent’s split comes nearly nine years after The Unsaid actor popped the question to Bledel. As per the reports of the media outlet, Alexis and Vincent got engaged in March of 2013.
At that time, during an interview with Us at the season 6 premiere of Mad Men in Los Angeles, Vincent couldn’t stop gushing about his ladylove. Then, he said, “I’m a very lucky man. I keep saying, girlfriend. And then I’m like, ‘I mean, my fiancée!’”
When did Alexis and Vincent walk down the aisle?
Alexis and Vincent met each other for the first time on the set of his AMC series. The pair began dating after the filming of the show was over. They started dating in the year 2012.
Bledel and Kartheiser tied the knot in Ojai, California in June 2014. At that point, a source told Us, “It was a small and intimate family affair. They wanted something relaxed and beautiful. Ojai was the perfect place. His family flew out from the East Coast.”

Alexis and her soon-to-be ex-husband Vincent share one kid. They are doting parents to a son. In May of 2016, it was revealed that Bledel gave birth to her and Vincent’s first and only child a son, in the fall of 2015.
For a while, Bledel and Vincent were able to keep the news about their baby boy’s arrival under the wraps but then in May of 2016, Alexis’ Gilmore Girls: A Day in the Life costar Scott Patterson let the cat out of the bag.
Then, Scott spilled the beans on his co-star Bledel’s personal life and he told Glamour, “She’s really blossomed as a woman and now she’s a proud new mother and married and happy.”
Patterson further added, “We’re comparing notes because my son [Nick, born July 2014] is about a year and a half older than her young son. I’m showing her photos and videos and what to expect. We’re just really enjoying each other’s company.”
