‘The Umbrella Academy’ Renewed for Fourth & Final Season on Netflix
Netflix has been a goody good this year with so many great shows lined up. It’s good news for all the Umbrella Academy fans as it is time to grab your briefcases and head to the academy as season 4 is on its way!
The streaming platform has confirmed that the Umbrella Academy is going to be back with another season and this time it will return for the last time as the Academy is wrapping with the fourth and final season.
The phenomenal series based on the groundbreaking graphic novel is coming to its end. The series has been marked in the history of Netflix for being the first English language weekly show with 124.5M viewing hours.Â
The renewal announcement was shared by the creator of the show Steve Blackman who said that the series is prepping to give the loyal fanbase of The Umbrella Academy a good and fitting end to the story of Hargreeves siblings that was started five years back.Â
His announcement also included a thrilling treat for viewers as he said that season 4 will have a shocking yet memorable story for the fans that will make them sit on the edge of their seats throughout the season.Â
Who All Are Coming For The Final Season?
This must be the second most googled question about the series after the shocking finale of season 3 where things went crazy.
For those who don’t know, the season finale took some turns and threw the superheroes in a new timeline where there was no power and a few missing siblings.Â
So to update the current cast, the upcoming season will include Elliot Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Justin H. Min, Ritu Arya, and Colm Feore to reprise their roles as your favourite superpower dysfunctional family.Â
Steve Blackman is returning as showrunner and executive producer for the show along with Jesse McKeown, who will also serve as co-showrunner, Mike Richardson, Keith Goldberg, Scott Stuber and Beau Bauman and co-executive producers Gerard Way and Gabriel Bá.
Season 3 ended with some heartbreaking twists and turns that probably made up a plot for the upcoming season.
Blackman said in a few interviews that the ending has strong material for what’s coming. So, it’s better to wait and see what happens without a full sibling group.Â
