Yes, you read that right. Zach Shallcross is the next star of ABC’s show The Bachelor. After the big announcement, Zach said, “There’s no words, I’m just taking this in right now. I’m obviously really nervous right now but this is once in a lifetime.”
Shallcross went on to say that he wants to “find my best friend, fall in love with my best friend and really walk away with someone for the rest of my life.” We must say, Zach has got another chance to find his true love.
When Zach was asked about his preparation for the forthcoming season of The Bachelor, the new lead said he had been taking “time to center myself and figure out what I want and who I am and go out there and find my person. And I also went to the gym a lot.”
Shallcross even offered a piece of advice to all his suitors based on his own experience. He said, “Let yourself be true, be open — be open to finding love, then it can really happen. I saw it firsthand.”

Zach was last seen competing for Rachel Recchia’s heart on season 19 of The Bachelorette. He made it all the way to the final three but eventually, he and Rachel called it quits after the two of them experienced a shift in their dynamic on their Fantasy Suite date. At that time, Zach thought that Rachel was being ‘very unauthentic.’
Shallcross told Jesse, “I really needed to take some time away and reflect and heal that broken heart. But really what I learned from that experience was that I didn’t change how ready I was. I’m now more ready. That’s almost fuel to the fire.”

Zach also got the opportunity to meet five of his suitors. At first, Brooklyn, who is 25 years old told Zach that she wanted him to be the reason she moved back to her native Texas where he lives.
Next in line was 24-year-old Brianna, who is from Jersey City, New Jersey. She concluded her first meeting with Zach by taking a selfie. She passed him the Polaroid and even confessed, “I literally almost fainted on the way in.”
Then came, Bailey who is 27 years old and an executive recruiter by profession. She gave Zach a way through which he can remember her name. She said, “On the daily, I’m going to be thinking of Bailey.” At the end of the day, Bailey’s mantra didn’t work as later on when Jesse asked him about the names of his suitors, he didn’t remember any of them.
Professional dancer, Cat is the one who walked in next. She is 26 years old and from New York City. Soon afterward, 26-year-old content creator Christina Mandrell stepped out and she wrapped up her first meeting with Zach by taking tequila shots with him. The Tennessee native said, “Tastes like home.”
