List Of Companies That Cut Ties With Kanye West Amid Anti-Semitic Remarks

Kanye may not be sorry for his blow on the Jewish community, but the world is definitely responding. Big companies such as French fashion house Balenciaga, Adidas, Gap and most recently, Foot Lockers cut all professional ties with Kanye, giving him a nasty financial blow.

Recently the German shoe giant, Adidas referred to Ye’s recent anti-semitic comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous.

List of Companies that Cut Ties with Kanye West

Here is a complete list of companies that left Kanye in the dust.

1. Foot Locker

Following Adidas’s announcement, shoe retailer Foot Locker also cut ties with Kanye West, announcing this week that it would “not be supporting any future Yeezy product drops, and we have instructed our retail operators to pull any existing product from our shelves and digital sites.” This comes as a result of his anti-semitic comments and ‘hate speech’.

2. Adidas

Following Ye’s anti-semitic comments, Adidas terminated its partnership with Kanye on October 25, a move that will impact their bottom line by up to $256 million this year. In a statement, the German sportswear giant mentioned that “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech”.

The company was in a fashion collaboration called “Adidas Yeezy” with West for seven years. Adidas is now the “sole owner of all design rights” under this partnership, therefore, the rapper cannot attempt to reproduce the designs with a new manufacturer.

3. Balenciaga

Following Ye’s controversies, ranging from “White Lives Matter” to his recent anti-semitic remarks, the French fashion house announced on October 21 that it has severed its ties with the 45-year-old rapper. Its parent company, Kering released a statement, saying, “Balenciaga has no longer any relationship nor any plans for future projects related to this artist.”

4. Gap

Gap severed its partnership with Ye back in September after the “Donda” rapper accused the brand of breaking their contract. However, this week, the company announced that it is shutting down its Yeezy-branded website and is “taking immediate steps to remove Yeezy Gap product from our stores,” as “antisemitism, racism and hate in any form are inexcusable and not tolerated in accordance with our values.”

5. CAA

On October 24, it was reported that one of Hollywood’s famous talent agencies, Creative Artists Agency (CAA), has cut its ties with Ye, following his antisemitic outbursts in various interviews. Even though CAA represented the rapper only for touring, the company has decided to call it quits with the rapper. Kanye hasn’t toured since signing with them in 2016.

6. MRC

Shortly after CAA’s announcement become public, Studio MRC, which was set to release Kanye’s documentary, released a statement mentioning that the company cannot support “any content that amplifies his platform.”

MRC’s executives also released a joint statement on Oct. 24 stating: “The silence from leaders and corporations when it comes to Kanye or antisemitism, in general, is dismaying but not surprising. What is new and sad, is the fear Jews have about speaking out in their own defense.”

7. Peloton

Peloton, a famous stationary bike and exercise subscription company has indefinitely paused the use of Ye’s music on their platform. On Oct 25, the company announced that their instructors won’t be using Kanye’s music in their “proactive recommendations to members”.

10. T.J Maxx

TJX Companies, who operates popular off-price retail chains TJ Maxx, Home Goods and Marshalls, have cut all ties with Ye and stated on October 26 that the company has stopped procuring surplus Yeezy items. “At TJX we do not tolerate discrimination, harassment, or hate of any kind. We have instructed our buying teams not to purchase this merchandise for sale in any of our stores globally,” the retailer announced.

11 Skechers

Following his anti-semitic remarks, Kanye dared to visit Skechers’ main office in Manhattan Beach, Calif., and expect a partnership with the company’s founder Robert Greenberg, who is a Jew.

Kanye was present at the office with the hope that Skechers would be interested in partnering with his Yeezy brand, but it has been reported that he was escorted outside the office. Well, Ye’s got some guts to face Robert after what he said.

12. Vogue

Vogue had more than one reason to break all ties with Ye. The fashion magazine broke its longtime relationship with the rapper on October 21, 2022. It was reported that the publication and its Editor-in-Chief Anna Wintour have zero intentions of working with Ye due to his anti-semitic remarks.

Not only this, we all know what happened following his “White Lives Matter” stunt. Kanye bullied Vogue’s creative director Gabriella Karefa Johnson after she expressed her criticism. Even though both met to settle their differences, Vogue’s stand is unshakable.

13. JP Morgan Chase

Conservative podcaster Candance Owens and Kanye West posed in a “White Lives Matter” t-shirt during the Paris Fashion Show, igniting rage among the black community. Instead, Kanye bullied several celebrities like Vogue’s Gabriella Johnson and Gigi Hadid.

Following this controversy, Candace Owens tweeted on Oct. 12 that Ye had been “kicked out” by JPMorgan Chase Bank. She also included a “redacted letter” with the subject line “IMPORTANT: Closing of Our Banking Relationship.” “I was told there was no official reason given, but they sent this letter to confirm that he has until late November to find another place for the Yeezy empire to the bank,” Owens wrote.

Apart from this, Boston Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown has cut ties with Ye’s Donda Sports following his anti-semitic remarks. After his statement, Aaron Donald, of the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams, and his wife, slammed Ye calling his remarks the exact opposite of how they want to raise their children.

Madame Tussauds London has also moved Ye’s wax model to an archive as reported by BBC. This list continues to grow as many companies are issuing statements regarding cutting ties with the 45-year-old rapper.

Ye crossed lines with his anti-semitic remarks. Kanye tweeted on Oct. 8: “I’m a bit sleepy tonight but when I wake up I’m going death con 3 On JEWISH PEOPLE. The funny thing is I actually can’t be Anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jews also You guys have toyed with me and tried to blackball anyone who opposes your agenda.” His Twitter and Instagram were suspended during that week.

Not only this, but on his appearance on “Piers Morgan Uncensored” last week, Ye revealed that he has no regret threatening to go “DEFCON 3 on Jewish people. The rapper went on an antisemitic tirade on “Drink Champs”, also making false statements regarding George Floyd’s death.

As a result of Ye’s attacks, a banner was recently hung by a white supremacist group above the 405 freeway in Los Angeles reading “Kanye is right about the Jews.” This has escalated hate attacks against the Jewish community.

Since then, many celebrities, including his ex-wife Kim K., have come forward to show their support for Jews following Kanye’s hate speech and instigating violence against the community.

However, Ye finally apologised to the Jewish community in a recent interview on the Lex Fridman Podcast, calling them his “brothers” Well, much damage has already been done and the above list continues to grow bigger.

  1. I think these company CEO’s should watch their back from now on. It would be a shame if an ex business partner caught you off guard in the street especially after bringing them so much business. You don’t know what a man with nothing to lose is capable of.
