AI has become the talk of the town in the last few months, especially after the launch of ChatGPT, an AI-powered chatbot that has the potential to answer almost any of your queries. Looking at the platform’s success, Google has now come up with its own AI service named Bard.
Much like ChatGPT, Google Bard will be able to converse with you like a human and could be used for a number of things, including retrieving information, asking questions, and even writing essays. So how to use the Google Bard chatbot? Read on to find out.
Google Announces the Launch of Chatbot ‘Bard’
Google Bard chatbot will provide you with the latest information and will be able to analyze different statistics and facts to come up with new information on its own. It could be used for teaching purposes, writing purposes, researching a particular topic, or simply conversing.
The chatbot uses a technology called LaMDA that can predict words statistically. It is built on a neural network called Transformer. Interestingly, ChatGPT is based on the GPT-3 language model, which is again built on Transformer. The neural network was created by Google in 2017 and has been utilized by the company for internal functioning all these years.

How to Use Google Bard?
As of now, Bard has not been launched to the public yet. Google has said that they have rolled out the chatbot only to a set of ‘trusted testers’ currently. However, the tech giant maintained that the service would become ‘more widely available to the public in the coming weeks.’
Google has also come up with a detailed demonstration of the service, which explains how to use the chatbot once it gets officially released. To use Bard, you will have to log into its website once it launches. The website will be different from the Google search engine; however, it will have some similar-looking features like the search bar.
Once you have logged in, you can type any question or statement in the search bar, and Bard will come up with all the related information. In the demo video, the chatbot was asked, “what new discoveries from the James Webb Space Telescope can I tell my 9 year about?” Bard then displayed all the recent discoveries made by the telescope that could ‘spark a child’s imagination.’
Google Says the AI-Powered Features will be Incorporated in Search Engine as Well
The company has also said that AI can help ‘deepen our understanding of information and turn it into useful knowledge more efficiently.’ Elaborating on how they plan to delve more and more into AI, Google said that it would be incorporating AI-powered features in its search engine as well.
“Soon, you’ll see AI-powered features in Search that distill complex information and multiple perspectives into easy-to-digest formats, so you can quickly understand the big picture and learn more from the web,” said the firm.
“Whether that’s seeking out additional perspectives, like blogs from people who play both piano and guitar, or going deeper on a related topic, like steps to get started as a beginner. These new AI features will begin rolling out on Google Search soon,” it added.
