Taika Waititi has added a new tattoo to his collection of tattoos! Recently, the Thor: Love and Thunder director debuted a new tattoo placed on his hand on the social networking platform Instagram.

Taika Waititi revealed new ‘R’ tattoo on Instagram
It seems like Taika Waititi really loves rugby. On Wednesday, the Grammy award-winning filmmaker, actor, and comedian took to his Instagram page to unveil his new ‘R’ tattoo. His tattoo shows his unconditional love for the sport.
“​​I love Rugby,” he wrote alongside the picture and video of his new tattoo. Earlier this week, Taika’s artist Daniel Winter, who goes by Winterstone, also shared a glimpse of the tattoo on social media.
Daniel even tagged the What We Do In The Shadows actor on the Instagram post and he joked around about the meaning of Taika’s new ink. In the video that was recorded during the tattoo appointment last month, Winter penned, “R @taikawaititi what’s does it stand for??? Always good seeing you brother! #love #R #tattoo #oldenglish #tattoos”
At that point, many fans of Taika and Daniel thought that the letter ‘R’ tattoo must be dedicated to Waititi’s wife Rita Ora but in this case, it looks like his tattoo implies his love for rugby.

During an interview with Heart Breakfast in promotion of her new single “You Only Love Me” last month, the I Will Never Let You Down singer spilled the beans on her love life and told the listeners that she had gotten married.
At that time, the British rock star was asked if she was married to which she replied, “Yes. Here we are. They say everything happens for a reason. I am officially off the market, people!”
Soon after, confirming the news of her marriage to Taika Waititi, Rita gave her fans a closer look at her rings. While making an appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, she flaunted her emerald engagement ring and gold wedding band.
On the talk show, when Jimmy Fallon, the host of the show congratulated her on the wedding, Ora said, “I haven’t actually shown anyone my ring, it’s my first time showing my ring and because I love you and I feel like you’re a part of our relationship…Look here it is.”
Rita and Taika were first romantically linked to each other in the year 2021. Soon after, they made their romance official when the Let You Love Me crooner posted a cozy picture of the two of them on social media. She simply captioned the snap, “Good times, memories, random things on my phone, and the ones I love.”
