Tammy Slaton is sharing her drastic weight loss transformation with her fans! Not long ago, the 1000-Lb. Sisters star uploaded a series of pictures of herself on the social networking platform Instagram.

Tammy Slaton reveals her weight loss transformation on social media
On Monday, the reality TV star took to her Instagram page and dropped a total of nine pictures of her that showed her weight loss journey. The captionless Instagram post garnered a lot of praise and support from her Instagram followers as well as fans of the TLC reality show.
One follower stopped by the comments section of the Instagram post and wrote, “I think I speak for everyone when I say WE ARE SO PROUD OF YOU 👏.” Followed by a second follower who penned, “Tammy I am so proud of you! I always knew you could do it 💗.”
Another social media user commented, “Omg Tammy you look amazing! And no more trach! I have cried on every episode this season! You freakin’ did it girl! I am so proud of you!”
A user shared his happy reaction to her journey on this season of the TLC show. The follower wrote, “You look great & we can tell you’re genuinely happy. I look forward to watching you transform into who you’re meant to be!”
Tammy Slaton has been inactive on social media
Lately, Tammy has been quite inactive on the social media platform Instagram. Her last Instagram post was shared on the app on February 14, which was her very first post since March 2022.
In the latest season of the show 1000-Lb. Sisters, the viewers get to take a closer look at her personal life. The fans witnessed what her recent marriage to Caleb Willingham looks like.
For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, Tammy and Caleb crossed paths for the first time at a rehab facility in Ohio. After Caleb’s surprise proposal, she was left speechless.
Tammy Slaton achieved her weight loss goal to undergo bariatric surgery
In a recent episode of the show, Slaton reached her weight loss goal. She had to drop her weight from 717 lbs. to 550 lbs. in order to be eligible for weight loss surgery. And, Tammy believed in herself and she made it down to 534 lbs.
During the February 7 episode of the show, Tammy said, “When I got on the scale and I saw the scale was at 534.7, I kinda stopped breathing for a second. I’m like 14 lbs. under my goal weight. From over 700, that’s a huge drop.”
She went on to say, “I’m feeling thrilled, proud, excited — just all the emotions. I proved everybody wrong. Everybody that doubted me, I finally got mine! My told-you-so moment!”
Now that, Tammy weighs 534 lbs,., she qualifies for weight loss surgery that goes by the name of bariatric surgery with surgeon Dr. Eric Smith. As of this moment, it’s not known whether the procedure has already taken place or not.
During an episode of the show that aired on February 28, Tammy is greeted and celebrated by her whole family as she leaves the Ohio rehab facility to undergo the weight loss operation.
In the episode, Slaton said, “They had a poster for me to read that everybody wrote a little something on there to celebrate me. I mean, b—s this is about me at the end of the day because I’m queen.”
After seeing the support of her family, Tammy had tears in her eyes and she confessed that she “needed to know that they love me no matter what” ahead of the surgery. She further added, “I needed to know that they’re here for me. They love me. That’s one of the biggest things to help push me through to get to where I am now.”
Slaton’s sister Amy was very nervous as she talked about Tammy’s life-changing surgery. During the episode, she said, “I am nervous for Tammy. Anything could happen during surgery. I couldn’t picture a life without my sister.”
Tammy Slaton’s weight loss journey explored
Over the years, the viewers have seen Tammy Slaton deal with major health problems and now they are supporting and encouraging her as she focuses on her weight loss journey. Since the 2020 premiere of the show, Tammy and her sister Amy’s fans have watched the TLC show to see them battle the scale in order to live the lives they want.
At that time, Amy was determined to lose weight to have kids. Now, she is a proud mom of two boys. She welcomed her sons with her husband Michael Haltermann. On the other hand, when we talk about Tammy, she wanted to shed those pounds to live a healthier lifestyle and to avoid being confined to bed due to her weight.
In November 2021, Tammy was put on life support after she suffered carbon monoxide poisoning. Around the same time, she underwent a tracheostomy and she miraculously survived and thrived.
During the finale of season 3 of the TLC show, which saw the light of day in January 2022, Tammy’s brother, Chris Combs, disclosed that she had already lost 115 lbs while at a rehab facility in Ohio, where she had stayed after being discharged from the hospital.
Soon after, Tammy flaunted her weight loss transformation in a TikTok video. In the footage filmed previously for the season 4 premiere of 1000-Lb. Sisters, which aired in January 2023, she hit rock bottom, which inspired her to seek help. And now, she is happier than ever while flaunting her weight loss transformation.
