The release of WWE 2K23 is just around the corner, and gamers are excited to get their hands on the new version of the professional wrestling sports video game from Visual Concepts and 2K Sports.
The game is being launched on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, and users are now wondering if there would be a crossplay multiplayer option available, which will allow gamers on different platforms to play with each other. Well, read on to find out.
Will WWE 2K23 be Crossplay?
Unfortunately, WWE 2K23 is not going to be crossplay. It has been confirmed that gamers using different platforms would not be able to play against each other. The game will be released for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series X/S, and PC via stream. But suppose you have a PS5, and your friend has an Xbox; you would not get to play WWE 2K23 with each other.
The previous edition, WWE 2K22, also did not get crossplay. While the feature is added to some games after their launch, it seems unlikely that WWE 2K23 would follow a similar trend and introduce crossplay a few months later.
While crossplay is not an option on WWE 2K23, gamers can still get a cross-gen edition of the game, which allows users to carry forward their progress and VC if they switch to a new version of PS or Xbox. While the standard edition of the game is priced at $59.99, the cross-gen edition will be costlier at $69.99.
When will WWE 2K23 be Released?
WWE 2K23 standard edition is being launched on March 17. The Deluxe and Icon editions will be available with early access on March 14. The two special editions will also come up with additional bonuses and benefits. Like the previous versions, WWE 2K23 will allow you to create your wrestlers, arenas, and championship belts with create-a-wrestler mode.Â
This year’s edition will have better visuals and animations than the previous ones and will also feature some highly awaited modes and matches. After selecting a wrestler, the gamer can follow his career path by playing matches with rival wrestlers. Users can choose to play as both tag teams and singles competitors.
Which Wrestlers will Feature in WWE 2K23?
The game will have a huge pool of wrestlers to choose from, including some big names in the wrestling world. These include AJ Styles, Axiom, Batista, Bayley, Big Boss Man, Big E, Cactus Jack, Chad Gable, Cody Rhodes, Commander Azeez, Cora Jade, Dexter Lumis, Eddie Guerrero, Edge, Ezekiel, Faarooq, Finn Bálor, Gigi Dolin and Giovanni Vinci.
Then there are Happy Corbin, Hollywood Hogan, Ilja Dragunov, Indi Hartwell, IYO SKY, JBL, John Cena, Johnny Gargano, Julius Creed, Kane, Karrion Kross, Katana Chance, Liv Morgan, Lita, Logan Paul, Ludwig Kaiser, MA.CE, Madcap Moss, Mr. McMahon, Mustafa Ali, MVP, Natalya, Nikki A.S.H., Nikki Bella, and Noam Dar.
