Shakira and Lewis Hamilton Have Started Dating Each Other
A source close to the couple has confirmed that they are in the ‘early stages of dating’. Talking to People magazine, the insider revealed, “They’re spending time together and in the ‘getting to know you’ stage. It’s fun and flirty.” However, neither the stars nor their reps have not yet commented on the reports.
The news comes just a few days after Shakira and Hamilton were seen on multiple outings together. On June 3rd, the Hips Don’t Lie singer attended the F1 Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, Spain, while Hamilton raced through the track. After the event, the two went out to grab dinner with their friends.
A picture from the outing was shared by Mustafa on Instagram, which showed Hamilton sitting beside Shakira with his hand on her waist. Earlier last month, the two were spotted together on a boat in Miami.
Shakira was Previously Linked to Tom Cruise
At the beginning of May, the link-up reports of Tom Cruise and Shakira emerged after the duo attended the F1 Grand Prix in Miami and posed for a series of photos together. The pictures broke the internet and fans even started to ship the two celebs together. Cruise was said to be ‘absolutely mesmerized’ by Shakira and was said to be flirting with her.
However, the Colombian superstar did not share the same feelings. “He came away convinced they had a real connection they needed to build on. She doesn’t want to embarrass or upset him, but there’s no attraction or romance on her part. She was just being friendly. She’s flattered but not interested,” a source revealed at the time.
The Pop Star Went Through a Heartbreaking Breakup Last Year
With Hamilton, the singer finally seems to be moving on after a heartbreaking breakup with Gerard Piqué. Shakira was in a relationship with the footballer for 11 years before she announced their separation in June 2022. The former couple shares two children together: Milan, 10, and Sasha, 8.
Shakira opened up about her split in an interview in September last year, revealing how difficult it was for her. “I’ve tried to conceal the situation in front of my kids. I try to do it and to protect them because that’s my number one mission in life,” she said at the time.
“But then they hear things in school from their friends or they come across some disagreeable, unpleasant news online, and it just affects them. It’s really upsetting for two kids who are trying to process their parents’ separation. And I just feel like this is all a bad dream and that I’m going to wake up at some point. But no, it’s real,” she added.
