BTS’ 10th-anniversary celebrations are going on in full swing! The iconic K-pop band made their debut on 13 June 2013 with their album 2 COOL 4 SCHOOL and have completed a decade in the industry, claiming a cult following over the years.
To mark the occasion, ARMY members around the world have made special arrangements. Meanwhile, a two-week-long celebration is taking place in the city of Seoul, with a special outdoor festival planned on June 17th, which can be live-streamed.
FESTA 2023: BTS’ 10th-Anniversary Celebration
Seoul, the capital of South Korea, marked the beginning of BTS’ 10th-anniversary celebrations on June 12th. A number of buildings across the city were lightened up in the band’s signature purple shade. Meanwhile, fans are posting messages and letters for the band on walls and billboards.
FESTA 2023 began with the launch of BTS Everywhere website on June 1st and was followed by live streaming of the band’s earlier concerts on YouTube and Weverse on June 3rd. On June 9th, BTS’ new single Take Two was released, which ‘their appreciation toward ARMY for all the love you shower them with and their desire to always be together with you,’ said Big Hit.
FESTA Live Festival is Planned on June 17th
Saturday will mark another special day for the band and the ARMY as an outdoor festival named FEST A Live is being organized in Seoul. The event will take place at Yeouido Hangang Park and will be open to ARMY and the general public. A live stream of the festival can be enjoyed by fans around the world on Weverse.
The live broadcast will begin at 5 pm KST, followed by a fireworks show at 8:30 pm KST on YouTube, Weverse, and TikTok. There will be a number of attractions at the venue, including exhibition spaces, a temporary tattoo kiosk, and a monument in honor of the 10th Festa.
BTS Members Share Special Messages with Fans
To make the occasion more special, BTS members have shared special messages with their fans. RM wrote, “Thanks to the ARMYs and so many people who helped us, I was able to experience something special that I won’t be able to experience again.”
Jimin added, “I’ve told you ARMYs a few times already, it’s not easy to support and love someone and give them strength for no particular reason. That is why I am able to understand how happy we are. You, who made us feel this way, should feel overflowing happiness and receive love. You must.”
Meanwhile, V penned, “It’s already the 10th anniversary since we’ve debuted. For 10 years, our members thank you for being healthy and making good memories together ARMYs thank you so much and thanks to you, we’re able to do this while gaining strength!”
J-Hope, who is currently enrolled in compulsory military training, also sent out a special note for fans, writing, “ARMYs, you’re all doing well, right?? About now, I’m probably in an extremely nervous state with my military discipline!! To comfort all of you going through this Hobi-less time, I will send my greetings through letters on special days like this, even though it’s short!”
