Britney Spears is sharing her side of the story! Recently, the Oops! I Did It Again hitmaker revealed that up until now she has not received an apology from the Spurs organization or NBA star Victor Wembanyama after the slap incident.
For those of you who are unaware, let us share with you, Spears also known by the fans as the ‘Princess of Pop’ was allegedly slapped in her face in Las Vegas on Wednesday night. It has been stated that she was trying to reach out to San Antonio Spurs player Victor Wembanyama when a member of his security team slapped the 41-year-old pop star.

On Thursday, the Baby One More Time singer took to her Instagram page to spill the beans on the alleged slap incident that took place in Las Vegas at Catch restaurant in the ARIA Hotel.
Spears wrote, “Traumatic experiences are not new to me and I have had my fair share of them. I was not prepared for what happened to me last night. I recognized an athlete in my hotel lobby as I was heading to dinner.”
She continued, “I later went to a restaurant at a different hotel and saw him again. I decided to approach him and congratulate him on his success. It was really loud, so I tapped him on the shoulder to get his attention.”
The Toxic singer further added, “I am away of the players [sic] statement where her mentions ‘I grabbed him from behind’ but I simply tapped him on the shoulder. His security then back handed me in the face without looking back, in front of a crowd. Nearly knocking me down and causing my glasses off my face.”
She went on to say, “I get swarmed by people all the time. In fact, that night. I was swarmed by a group of at least 20 fans. My security team didn’t hit any of them.”
In her lengthy note, Britney also stated that the whole ordeal was “super embarrassing,” and she mentioned that “it’s important to share this story and to urge people in the public eye to set an example and treat all people with respect.”

The Grammy-winning singer told her 42.1 million Instagram followers that, “Physical violence is happening too much in this world. Often behind closed doors. I stand with all the victims and my heart goes out to all of you!!!”
The mom of two claimed that she has “yet to receive a public apology from the player, his security or their organization,” which she is patiently waiting for. She concluded the post by thanking her fans and the Las Vegas Police Department for their support.
It was previously reported by the media outlet TMZ that the Las Vegas Police Department has started a criminal investigation into the incident. The publication Page Six reported that Britney filed a police report for battery after the slap incident.
