The answer to the above question is alive. On Tuesday, Josh used his Instagram page to reveal that he is absolutely fine after a social media hoax falsely announced his death. He told his fans that his Instagram account was hacked and the shocking death announcement shared on his official Instagram page had no truth in it.
In his latest video, Seiter denied the death reports by saying, “As you can see I am alive and well. My account was hacked. For the last 24 hours I had been trying desperately to get into it.”
Josh talked about the whole incident and further added, “Somebody was playing a cruel joke and mocking my mental illness and the struggles I’ve gone through with depression and suicide attempts.”
The model apologized to his fans for the confusion and continued, “I’m sorry for all the pain they caused when they made that post. I just got back into my account. I am going to do all I can with my team to try to identify who was behind this but again, I apologize for the confusion. And I will update you guys as more facts come in. Thank you, guys.”
When was Josh Seiter’s death announcement made?
On Monday, a statement was put out on Josh’s Instagram page claiming he had died unexpectedly. Soon after, several media outlets reported that he had passed away at the age of 36.
Seiter is best known for competing on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette, which premiered in the year 2015. Then, he was referred to as a law student and an exotic dancer from Chicago. He was eliminated from ABC’s popular show in the first week itself.
Josh Seiter came out as bisexual this year
Earlier this year, Josh who was born on August 14, 1987, came out as bisexual just in time for Pride Month. During an interview with Instinct Magazine, he talked about his sexual identity.
While having a chat with the magazine, Josh spilled the beans on his upbringing and said, “I believe my upbringing, in the homeschooled Christian niche that we were brought up in, stayed with me, both consciously and unconsciously, for years after leaving home for college.”
He went on to say, “I always knew as an early teen I was different sexually, I just don’t think I had the vocabulary to articulate what the difference was. In the distant past, what people might think of my attraction to men and women definitely played an operative role in keeping me silenced about my identity, but those concerns don’t bother me now.”
