The game cycle in Minecraft operates at a constant rate of 20 ticks per second, which means one tick happens every 0.05 seconds. In-game days there are 24000 ticks long, or 20 minutes.
How To Change ‘Tick Speed’ In Minecraft?
So, when I stated the Tick Speed fact of Minecraft above, maybe you don’t like the default Tick Speed in your game. Because you need your grass to expand faster or you want to destroy the forest quickly, thus you want to alter it.

Step 1 – First of all make sure you’re in a creative mode or you have Opie on your server.

This command is available in different Minecraft editions. There are two commands in particular:
- /random /gamerule
- value> TickSpeed
