Here are the names of the seven dwarfs, along with some fascinating facts about them. You will absolutely love it.
1. Doc
Let’s start with Doc. Doc is the new self head of the organisation, as voiced by Roy Atwell in the movie. He’s domineering and a little oblivious, but he’s a real sweetheart.
Doc’s agitated temperament should require his fellow dwarfs to inform him of stuff, according to Walt. Doc wears spectacles and has a tendency to muddle his remarks.
Fun Fact – Why is Doc’s name Doc in Snow White? Snow White animator Woolie Reitherman remarked in the press booklet, “For the leader we wanted a special kind of personality, a self-appointed bumbler who tries to take command but gets all tangled up.
We called him Doc. It was a good handle for a person in authority, and it suited his personality”.
2. Grumpy
Played by Pinto Colvig in the movie is a grumpy character. Grumpy opposes Snow White’s presence at the dwarfs’ house at first, but eventually warns her of the Queen’s threat and gladly comes to her help when she is in peril, leading the charge himself.
He has the dwarfs largest snout and is typically seen with one eye closed.
Fun Fact – Grumpy is scared of witches. Aww, cute. Also scary for him.
3. Happy
As we can understand from the name of this Dwarfs ‘Happy’ shows that he is always cheerful and enjoys laughing. Despite the fact that his name is Happy and his character is true to his name, he can be quite angry at times.
For example, When the Queen attacks Snow White in the movie, Happy becomes outraged and prepares to fight. His behaviour demonstrates that he is capable of becoming pretty enraged. Happy is (voiced by Otis Harlan in the movie).
Fun Fact – The only dwarf to whom Snow White does not refer by name is Happy.
4. Sleepy
This Dwarf’s name implies that he is extremely sleepy and tired, which he really is. In most instances, he appears sluggish. Pinto Colvig provides the voice of Sleepy in the movie.
Despite the fact that he spends the most of his time on the verge of falling asleep, ‘Sleepy’ appears to be the most attentive and rational of the seven dwarfs, whether he realises it or not.
When the woodland animals urgently interrupted the dwarfs mine work, he was the only dwarf who assumed the Evil Queen was attacking Snow White at the home.
Fun Fact – Sleepy made plenty of (usually) non-speaking cameos in House of Mouse, always seen with the other dwarfs. He was also seen falling asleep in Mickey’s Magical Christmas: Snowed in at the House of Mouse.
5. Bashful
He is voiced by Scotty Mattraw in the movie and is very shy, warmhearted person. He’s also referred to as adorable. Well, He also has a little bashful smile and a rosy blushed face.
Fun Fact – Bashful is the only dwarf who appreciates the more feminine aspects of life, such as flowers and romance novels.
6. Sneezy
Voiced by Billy Gilbert in the movie. Sneezy gets his moniker from his incredibly powerful sneezes (induced by hay fever), which can blow even the heaviest things across a room.
Fun Fact – Albert Hurter inspired many scenes that focused on Sneezy.
7. Dopey
Vocal effects provided by Eddie Collins in the movie Dopey. The dwarf without a beard, is the only one who doesn’t have one. He’s clumsy and deafeningly silent, with Happy claiming that he’s ‘never attempted’ to speak.
Fun Fact – Despite the fact that he doesn’t speak, Snow White’s favourite dwarf is Dopey.
He’s well-known for his idiocy, and he always manages to cause mayhem without even realising it.
These were the cute tiny dwarfs who made the Snow White movie more intriguing. Because of their various emotions and problem-solving abilities.
Yet, the only thing these seven dwarfs had in common was that they always saved Snow White and were kind towards her. And we all love them.
