Bynes started her career in the film industry when she was 10 years old in the sketch comedy series, “All That” for four years from 1996 to 2000. She was later featured in “The Amanda Show” for three years from 1999 to 2002. She portrayed different roles in the series until her departure in 2002 from the sitcoms.
She gained both name and fame for her acting in the Nickelodeon sitcoms. She was awarded the favorite television actress award in the year 2000 by Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards for “All That” and was nominated four times for The Amanda Show.
She made her film debut with the 2002 movie, “Big Fat Liar” by portraying a supporting actress role. She then went on to star in many successful movies and television series.
Some of her notable movies are the romantic comedy Love Wrecked in the year 2005, sports comedy She’s The Man in 2006, Hairspray, Sydney White in 2007, and Comedy-drama movie Easy A in the year 2010.
In 2010, she began shooting for her upcoming film “Hall Pass” but she later dropped out of the film and later announced her decision of indefinite hiatus from acting. For more than a decade now we haven’t seen her on the big screen.
Bynes was charged with driving under the influence in the West Hollywood area in the year 2012, however, the charges were dropped after a couple of years and she got three-year probation. She was again charged with reckless endangerment and possession of drugs when she was found smoking in her manhattan apartment’s lobby in May 2013.
After a series of mental health and substance abuse issues reported she was placed under a temporary conservatorship in 2013. It has been disclosed later that judge has decided her conservatorship must be extended for ten more years until 2023.
As per court documents obtained by some media companies, a judge decided that Bynes should continue to be under the protection of the court for another couple of years.

In 2001, Bynes was in a relationship with her co-star Taran Killam but it lasted for just one year. Bynes, 17, was then dating Nick Zano, 24, the following year and again broke up in 2004.
Her latest relationship was revealed on her Instagram page last year in 2020 with Paul Michael.
She disclosed their engagement but it was called off after three weeks. It was later found that their announcement of the breakup was a hoax as Michael said that their Instagram accounts were hacked.
Bynes shared an ultrasound photo in March 2020 on her Instagram account with a caption saying that they are expecting their first child. However, her post was deleted after some time and her lawyer said that the couple was not expecting a child.
Amanda Bynes and her Conservatorship Battle
Amanda Bynes was under the legal limitations of a conservatorship. Seven years back she tweeted about her bipolar diagnosis. This information gave a hint about her addiction to drugs.
Because of the usage of drugs she was not able to make coherent decisions and Lynn Organ, her mother was given the right to become her conservator. The Nickelodeon star needs to take permission from her mother to make any financial decision.
Three years back, paperwork was submitted in 2018 to continue the conservatorship for a couple of years more. Last year in Feb 2020, Bynes updated her Instagram account with an explanation that she no longer feels the need to have a conservator and needs the support of her fans.
Her mother Lynn Organ recently filed a status report in July 2021 post which a judge decided to extend conservatorship further till March 8, 2023, after reviewing her documents.
Bynes wanted to fight and even went to court after her conservatorship was extended until 2023 in September 2021. But her efforts went in vain as the court did not accept her request for freedom.
However, her lawyer reportedly defended the court’s judgement by saying, “Her conservatorship is not extended through March 2023. It is open day to day.”
He further said, “A status report regarding her health and welfare was recently filed and approved by the court. By law, the next status report is due in two years. Her conservatorship will terminate when it is no longer convenient for Amanda.”
Recently, Amanda Bynes’ conservatorship was terminated on March 22 which will end the legal arrangement.
Bynes seems to be very happy as she conveyed her thanks to fans for their patronage. She is now independent to take decisions about her life and has the liberty to make her own choices.

Being someone who has mental issues I find it difficult to see so many fans wanting celebrities with mental issues wanting their idols “freed” from conservators. No I am not saying that all conservator has the best interest of their children, but it holds a higher purpose. Look at Britney’s her illness made her turn to people who never had her best interest at all. She is with a man almost half her age, who is agreeing with wanting a baby. Do you know what pre or post pardom depression can do to a mental patient? Not only that but her chances of having a baby with mental handicaps seeing she is over 40 is huge! Do you think she would know what to do with a special needs child? She couldn’t handle healthy children! If he wants his own child so much, donate then get a surrogate to carry your baby! My guess he wants a baby with Britney for the same reason her last dead beat husband did. With a baby he will always have a meal ticket! You as her fans can’t even see the noses on your face. Amanda or Britney doesn’t have the mental ability to run their own lives. Taking away conservatorships only takes the person out of the zoo, to throw them into the wild. Of course these girls want to believe in true love, but something that seems to good to be true, 99.9% of the time is just that. If either of these girls men truly cared for them, then let them sign away all rights to their fortunes before they marry them, regardless if they have a baby with them or not! Bet neither would!!
