Republican Senator Ted Cruz has a history of controversies. I must say, especially for flying at the wrong time. Now, he got caught in a confrontation with the authorities at the Montana Airport for having missed the check-in window.

The American politician and attorney was captured in a 23-second video lashing the Montana Airport authorities when he missed his flight at the Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport. The short clip is unclear but Ted Cruz can be heard telling the authorities, “Do you know who I am.”

Let me unravel the details for you. It has been confirmed by an airport representative that Cruz missed his check-in window. However, re-booking options were limited out of Bozeman due to the ongoing Spring Break.
Cruz can be seen confronting a senior male officer as he got replaced by two female staff members. The officer seems extremely polite but Cruz seems frustrated for missing his fight. He can be seen berating the staff members at the airport.
Statement from Bozeman Airport
The Deputy Director of Bozeman airport, Scott Humprey released a statement confirming that the officer was not aware of Cruz’s identity during the incident. Humprey said:
‘One of our Public Safety Officers (PSO) was in the ticket lobby and was asked to assist with a frustrated passenger at the United ticket counter (which is not unusual). The passenger had missed the check-in window for his flight and re-booking options were limited out of Bozeman due to Spring Break.
He added, “‘Once travel options were explained to the passenger, he was rebooked and departed Bozeman later that evening. Our PSO didn’t realize he was dealing with Senator Cruz until after the fact. If you need more information, please contact United Airlines.”
Ted Cruz still flies
The junior US Senator was flying to attend Joe Biden’s Supreme Court nominee, Ketanji Brown Jackson. Some sources reveal that Cruz was attending a fundraiser event in Montana. But again, his behaviour with the airport authorities was as rude as it can get.
This is not the first time that Cruz has reflected this lackadaisical side. Previously, he flew for a holiday with his wife to Mexico while millions of Texans were stuck due to power outages and extremely low temperatures.
The Republican is being condemned for his rude behaviour and a negative depiction of his powerful post just because of missing a flight. Well, that was his fault. The airport authorities treat everyone equally. There seems to be no case of an emergency. But again, even that does not call for such cold behaviour.
Ted Cruz has deferred from commenting on this incident. His berating behaviour serves as a common anecdote on how men in powerful positions try to suppress common people.
