Bill Nye weds Liza Mundy in an intimate outdoor ceremony
William Sanford Nye popularly known as Bill Nye has found the lady with whom he will have chemistry for the rest of his life. As per the reports of People magazine, these two lovebirds said their vows in front of their close friends and family last month at the Enid A. Haupt Garden outside the Smithsonian Institute’s Castle in Washington, D.C.
According to the reports of the magazine, the wedding ceremony of Bill and Liza was officiated by Star Trek star Robert Picardo. They had their first dance to Sam Cooke’s version of Wonderful World.Â
For their wedding day, Liza wore an elegant satin sleeveless gown that featured a mermaid hemline and also had a jeweled belt at the waist that shimmered against her colorful bouquet.
On the other hand, when we talk about Bill, he opted for a black tuxedo along with an orange boutonniere on his lapel, his father’s cufflinks, and his signature bowtie.

Liza’s daughter Andy was among the many people who gave toasts at the couple’s wedding. Bill’s brother Darby and his school pal of more than 50 years, Brian also wished the couple congrats and wished them the best for their lives ahead.

How did Bill Nye meet Liza Mundy?
Liza, a former Washington Post reporter and New York Times best-selling author made a mention of Bill’s cryptanalyst mom, Jacqueline Jenkins-Nye, in her 2017 book Code Girls: The Untold Story of the American Women Code Breakers of World War II.
As soon as Nye got to know about the same, he sent an email to Mundy and the rest is history. Over the last few years, the couple formed a strong connection and they bonded over their shared love for storytelling and learning.
For the most part, these two lovebirds kept their relationship away from the spotlight. In fact, to date, they have made very few red carpet appearances in the public.
Bill and Liza were first snapped together when they attended the Captain Planet Foundation 30th Anniversary Gala in March. Their latest outing came just some days back at the premiere of his new Peacock series The End Is Nye in June. They slayed on the red carpet together.
