Chris Evans to star in Netflix’s ‘Pain Hustlers’ with Emily Blunt
The Captain America: The First Avenger alum will co-star in Netflix’s Pain Hustlers alongside The Devil Wears Prada actress Emily Blunt. The streaming giant Netflix got a hold of the Pain Hustlers package at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
It had been previously decided that Emily Blunt would star in the film and it will be directed by David Yates. The screenplay of the feature will be penned down by Wells Tower. As of now, Netflix has made no official comment about Evans joining the cast of the movie.
What will the movie ‘Pain Hustlers’ be all about?
The narrative of the upcoming film Pain Hustlers will revolve around a woman named Liza Drake (played by Emily Blunt) who is a high-school dropout but she dreams of creating a good life for herself and her young daughter.
Soon afterward, Drake bags a job with a failing pharmaceutical startup in a yellowing strip mall in Central Florida. Her great charm, guts, and drive propel the company and her into the high life, where she finds herself at the center of a criminal conspiracy with deadly consequences.
According to Deadline, the production of the film will kickstart in late August. The director of the movie David Yates has described the movie to be quite similar to films such as The Big Short, American Hustle, and The Wolf of Wall Street.
Wychwood Pictures’ Yates and Yvonne Walcott Yates’ are producing the film Pain Hustlers alongside Lawrence Grey’s productions banner that goes by the name of Grey Matter Productions Banner. Lewis Taylor and Ben Everard will serve as the executive producers along with Cyrus Mojibi, Patrick Wade, Lawrence Kao, and Lloyd Everard as co-producers.
