On Friday, February 10, 2023, Canadian actor Alexander Ludwig and his wife Lauren took to the social media platform Instagram to make the big announcement via separate posts on their social media handles.
“It’s been a long road, and we wanted to wait until things were looking promising this time around. Thank you guys for all of the support. We couldn’t be more grateful. ❤️ and if you were wondering…yam is stoked,” Ludwig wrote alongside a mirror selfie of himself cradling his wife Lauren’s growing baby bump.
On the other hand, Lauren who is due in May also shared an Instagram post to announce the exciting news with the pair’s fans all over the world. She posted the same picture on her Instagram feed and talked about her pregnancy journey in the caption of the post.
She wrote, “As a lot of you know it’s been a long road for @alexanderludwig and myself. We suffered 3 losses before this one but each one of those losses taught us about ourselves and each other. To everyone out there who has suffered miscarriages before, there is light on the other side of your journey. You are not alone.”
Lauren suffered her third miscarriage in May 2022
The road to motherhood has not been an easy one for Lauren! The news of her pregnancy comes almost a year after she suffered her third miscarriage. At that time, the jeweler mentioned that she wanted to share her loss to “help others realize how common miscarriages are and how they aren’t something to be embarrassed about.”
In a May 2022 post, Lauren went on to say, “Going through this has made me realize, I definitely am not alone. It’s so common and yet, I feel its not talked about nearly enough. If more of us talked about these things, maybe we would feel less alone and at fault. Information is power and I want to start sharing more of it.”
She concluded by writing, “This will forever be a part of our story. My hope by sharing this, if for no other reason, is for that one person reading this to know they are not alone ❤️.”
When did Alexander and Lauren get married?
As per Daily Mail, Alexander and Lauren eloped in Utah, almost one month after getting engaged in November 2020. After the nuptials, Ludwig wrote, “Life is too short and I didn’t want to spend another day without calling this beautiful woman my wife.”
