Britney Spears is recollecting the time spent with her sons, Sean Preston, 16, and Jayden James, 15, whom she shared with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. The “Princess Of Pop” posted a series of audio clips on Instagram, and feels that a part of her died since her sons left. Kevin presently holds 70% custody of his sons following the amendment in the joint-custody agreement.
Britney Had Her Sons At One Point…
Britney’s recent audio clips on Instagram were mainly sad. And why not, it’s been more than six months since the 40-year-old singer saw her sons, Sean Preston, 16 and Jayden James, 15. Britney, now married to Sam Asghari, shares Sean and Jayden with her ex-husband Kevin Federline. They both were married from 2004-2007.
On late Saturday (Sept. 10), the Oops!… I Did It Again! the singer posted a series of audio clips on Instagram and they were all about her sons, Sean and Jayden. She expressed that a part of herself “has died” amid the turbulent relationship with her son. Britney said, “Literally, I have no purpose anymore. They were my joy. They were my everything. I look forward to seeing them.”
If you don’t know this, it’s been more than 6 months since she saw her sons. Britney continued, “That was what I live for. And then all of a sudden, they were gone.” She also expressed that she used to have Jayden and Sean at one point in time, way more. Here, she was referring to the amendment in the joint-custody agreement with her ex-Kevin.
She continued by mentioning that people have forgotten the fact that when she had her kids 70% of the time when they were 6-9 years old. She also said that people always focus on the negative. She concluded, “I don’t understand how it’s so easy for them, just to cut me off like that. I don’t understand it.”
Britney’s Sour Relationship With Kevin…
Britney Spears and Kevin Federline ended up in a messy divorce when Britney asked Kevin for a divorce in a text. This happened after the 40-year-old singer gave birth to their second son. The two cited “irreconcilable differences” in the divorce petition, however, Britney admitted in her 2008 documentary “For the Record”, that she made a mistake by marrying the dancer.
Simultaneously, Brintey was bearing another burden of her conservatorship which finally ended in 2021 after rigorous 13 years of torture by her father. As for Kevin and his sons, the three have kept themselves away from Britney.
Kevin managed to get 70% custody of his sons when they amended their joint custody agreement in 2019. Previously, the two had 50-50 custody of the kids. The boys certainly aren’t fond of Britney. None of them went to Britney’s wedding with Sam Asghari. In August, Kevin shared a video of Britney, reprimanding her sons and things escalated even more.
Following Kevin’s actions, Britney shared a since-deleted Instagram post calling his step “rude and hateful”. She wrote, “They would visit me, walk in the door, go straight to their room and lock the door !!!” She mentioned that something is gotten into her son’s head but she continued to try. Now, they have stopped visiting her and it hurts her very much.
