As per the reports of Page Six, Kirsten Dunst and Jesse Plemons said their vows last weekend in Jamaica at the luxury GoldenEye resort in Ocho Rios. The two of them have taken the plunge after dating for nearly 6 years.
A source close to Kirsten told the media outlet, “I can just confirmed they got married. No other details will be given.” Jamaica is a beautiful place and it is well known for its lush topography of mountains, rainforests and reef-lined beaches.
The tropical location is the birthplace of reggae music, and it is the place where Ian Fleming penned down his James Bond novels, and legendary singer Sting wrote his song Every Breath You Take.
How did Kirsten and Jesse meet?
Kirsten and Plemons met each other for the first time on the sets of the Golden Globe-winning FX series Fargo in the year 2015. Coincidentally, these two played a married couple in the show.
The couple started dating in 2016 after Kirsten broke up with her then boyfriend Garrett Hedlund. The two of them even played newlyweds in Jane Campion’s Oscar-winning film The Power of the Dog.
The Bring It On star and her Killers of the Flower Moon beau got engaged around the Golden Globes weekend in January of 2017. The couple welcomed their first child, son Ennis in the spring of 2018 whereas their second child, son James Robert joined them earthside last year.
Kirsten and Jesse’s wedding plans kept getting delayed due to Covid-19
Yes, you heard it right. During an interaction with Los Angeles Times in February, Dunst spilled the beans on the wedding plans of the duo and stated that they had to postpone their wedding because of the Covid-19 pandemic.
At that time, Kirsten went on to say that she and Plemons “call each other husband and wife.” She further added, “We have to get married at this point. It’s ridiculous. We just haven’t planned a wedding. I didn’t want to be pregnant, get married, have a party and not be able to have fun with everybody.”
Jesse talked about his first meeting with Kirsten at her Hollywood Walk of Fame Ceremony in August of 2019 and he said, “Immediately, without too many words being exchanged, I looked into her eyes and saw the beautiful, sweet, unguarded, welcoming human being that she is.”
