Her dad is of Indian and her mom is of Pakistani descent. She was brought up in Saudi Arabia with her two siblings, a brother, and a sister. She moved back to her birthplace in 1993.
While growing up, Abedin traveled a lot. She went to a British girls’ school. Her dad passed away due to progressive renal failure when she was merely 17 years old. When she was a teenager, she looked up to journalist Christiane Amanpour and she wanted to be like her. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree as a journalism major with a minor in political science from George Washington University.
Throughout her career as a democrat, the 47-year-old worked hard and made her way to The White House. During her initial days, she was an intern in First Lady Hillary Clinton’s office in 1996. Soon afterward, she went on to become the chief of staff for Bill Clinton’s 2008 presidential campaign.

Huma Abedin is the ex-wife of Anthony Weiner
Apart from her successful political career, Huma has pretty much been in the spotlight for her personal life as well. She is the ex-wife of former politician Anthony Weiner. Huma began dating then-U.S. Representative Anthony Weiner in the year 2007.
The pair got engaged in the year 2009. Huma and Anthony said their vows on July 10, 2010. Former U.S. President Bill Clinton officiated the wedding ceremony of the couple. At the wedding, Hillary said, “I have one daughter. But if I had a second daughter, it would [be] Huma.”
