The TV and film actor Robert Blake who shot to fame after playing the role of Tony Baretta in the television series Baretta has died. The New Jersey native passed away at the age of 89 on March 9, 2023, at his home.
The news of Blake’s death was revealed by his niece, Noreen Austin on Thursday. She disclosed the cause of his demise as a long-term heart disease. He took his last breaths while surrounded by his loved ones.
According to Fox, the statement read, “He died at home with family around him peacefully, long-term heart issues. He spent the last few years listening to jazz music and playing his guitar and watching classic movies.”

At first, the baby girl was named after Brando and was called Christian Shannon Brando. Later on, a DNA test proved that Robert was the biological father of the child, and she was renamed Rose Lenore Sophia Blake.
Bonny was killed on May 4, 2001, in Robert Blake’s car which was parked outside an Italian restaurant in Studio City, California. Later on, Blake was arrested by the police authorities but later acquitted of the murder of his second wife.
Rose Lenore Sophia Blake had a tough childhood
During a 2019 interview with People magazine, Rose talked about her traumatic childhood and stated that for the longest time, she didn’t know where her mother Bonny Lee Bakley was buried.
At that time, she stated that she knew that she could have just looked it up, but she didn’t. She believed that she wasn’t ready for it. Although, when she turned 18 years old, she was ready to visit her mother’s grave. She added that she has dealt with her “fair share of sadness in life,” but she mentioned she will be okay.
