Shawn Johnson and Andrew East are adding a new member to their clan! On Wednesday, the retired athlete took to her Instagram page to share the great news with her fans all over the world.
“Swipe for a surprise ☺️,” she wrote alongside a carousel of pictures which contained a photograph of the gymnast sitting at an ancient stadium in Greece, and a snap of her flaunting her baby bump by posing to the side.
It looks like the pictures from Johnson’s pregnancy announcement were taken at the same time as a reel that Shawn posted on her Instagram page previously. The video included a few clips from her gold medal ceremony in 2008 and clips from her 2023 visit to the Panathenaic Stadium in Athens, Greece, with her two kids.

The two athletes were introduced to each other through Andrew’s brother Guy East when he was in London to be a sports commentator for the 2012 Olympics. Back in the day, Guy was competing in cycling events.

Soon after, the football player took a flight to Los Angeles to meet the decorated Olympian in person. Then, the two lovebirds went out on their first date. Nearly after 3 years, Andrew proposed to Shawn at the Chicago Cubs’ Wrigley Field. They tied the knot in the year 2016.
