In the latest season of The Bachelorette, we had not one but two Bachelorettes, which means double the drama, trouble, and fun. Keep reading further to know whether will be witnessing any proposals in the finale or not.
Gabby and Rachel are ‘The Bachelorettes’ in season 19
This season of The Bachelorette features, Gabby Windey, who is a 31-year-old ICU nurse from O’Fallon, Illinois, and Rachel Recchia, a 26-year-old flight instructor from Clermont, Florida.
In the past, Gabby and Rachel starred in season 26 of The Bachelor with Clayton Echard. During the grand finale of The Bachelor season 26, Clayton eliminated both Gabby and Rachel in the final three and chose Susie Evans, who is a 26-year-old wedding videographer from Virginia Beach, Virginia.
Soon afterward, Rachel and Gabby were announced as the Bachelorettes for season 19 at The Bachelor season 26 “After the Final Rose” special in March of 2022. The Bachelorette season 19 is the first season in the history of Bachelor or Bachelorette that has featured two main leads.
Season 11 of The Bachelorette kicked off with two bachelorettes, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Britt Nilsson, but shortly soon, Kaitlyn Bristowe was finalized as the sole bachelorette by the contestants in an episode of the show.
Who is the man picked by Gabby in the show ‘The Bachelorette’?
When we talk about Gabby, it seems like she is left with only one man after Fantasy Suites. There is a big possibility of her getting engaged by the end of season 19. However, she might wrap up the season without a ring on her finger.
During the Fantasy Suites on The Bachelorette 2022, Gabby had to make a couple of tough decisions regarding the contestants. In part 1 of the finale, we saw that Johnny accepted that he wasn’t ready to get engaged and then, Gabby sent him back home.
When we talk about Gabby’s date with Jason Alabaster, he also confessed that he wasn’t ready for an engagement and he went on to say that he didn’t know whether he could propose to her in the next couple of weeks. They pondered over the topic in the Fantasy Suites and they ended up calling it quits after the overnight date.
Is Erich getting cold feet?
Then, Gabby looked for Erich Schwer with whom she had a great Fantasy Suite date. She told him that he was the only contestant left and then, the duo shared that they were in love with each other. It’s pretty clear who wins Gabby’s heart and the season of the show. But let us tell you, Gabby still might not go home engaged.
In the teaser of the finale, we saw Erich telling Gabby, “I just like — I want to date you. Getting engaged before that happens is not how things usually go.” It seems like Gabby and Erich will most certainly end the season as a couple but not be engaged.
Then, in the episode, Gabby started crying. Then, she says to the producers of the show, “I don’t want to force him into his decision. This is actually crazy. I want to be with Erich forever — so I want him to propose.” Then, she asks the producers, “What am I supposed to do? Walk away because he’s not ready to propose?”
Reality Steve (created by Steve Carbone, who has long revealed spoilers for all Bachelor Nation shows) has shared a bit of insight about Gabby and Erich. Not long ago, he wrote, “As for Gabby and Erich, they are still together. Nothing new to report there. Whatever drama goes down in Mexico, it’s not like anyone else comes back for her. He’s the only guy left. They work through it and are together today.”
He further added, “Now, I did hear a possibility that maybe they didn’t get engaged in Mexico, and they just left dating, but I was never able to confirm that. The main thing that I double-checked was were they still together and I was told they absolutely are.”
Rachel started off the episode with three men
Gabby has narrowed down the list of her potential husbands to one single man, that’s Erich, on the other hand, when we talk about Rachel, in part 1 of the grand finale of season 19 of The Bachelorette, we witnessed that she still has three men to choose her potential husband from.
The three men from which Rachel has to pick her potential husband are as follows: Zach, Aven, and Tino. Zach left after the pair’s Fantasy Suit date. He talked about strange the vibe of Fantasy Suit and said, “To be honest, I thought what I was seeing wasn’t the real Rachel. I felt like I was seeing ‘Bachelorette’ Rachel — not the real Rachel that I’d come to know and love.”
Later on, in the recent episode of The Bachelorette, the host of the show Jesse Palmer called out Zach to sit next to Rachel in the studio. Zach apologized to Rachel and she also apologized to him. These two got their moment of closure.
Is Aven ready to propose to Rachel?
In an exclusive clip from Tuesday’s episode of the show, The Bachelorette, we saw Aven meeting Rachel’s best friends, Nate and Sam who just want to know whether he’s ready to get engaged or not.
Aven’s answer to the question posed by Rachel’s besties was not a simple yes or no. He told her besties, Nate and Sam, “I don’t know, but I am falling in love with her.” His answer somewhat puts the engagement kind of off the table.
Soon afterward, Rachel’s bestie Nate said, “Ultimately, it is a red flag. It’s not her intention to come home with a boyfriend. I do think even not wanting to be engaged at the end of this process will be a deal breaker.” Then, Nate and Sam break the bad news to Rachel and her reaction to the news ended up becoming a meme.
Rachel was a bit surprised when she heard what Aven had to say about getting engaged. She said, “This is, like, shocking.” Apart from this, Rachel still has Tino to choose from.
In part 1 of the finale episode, Aven tells Rachel, “It’s not about not being ready. And I want you to know that nothing has changed in terms of how I feel about you. I’m falling in love with you. And I see a life with you after this… I just want to be with you.”
Then, Rachel and Aven get involved in a heated argument, and then, she concludes that she can’t move on with Aven as she felt ‘blindsided.’ Then, she tells the cameras that everyone is lying and she is confused.
Tino made a good impression on Rachel’s family
In the latest episode of The Bachelorette, we witnessed that after the whole situation with Aven, Rachel introduces her family to Tino and things go pretty well. Then, she sees Aven again and he expresses his deep feelings for her and stated that he might not be ready for an engagement.
A heartbroken Aven said, “I have no idea where I’m going from here because I didn’t think I was going to be leaving here without Rachel. I saw a life with her. And I will always think that if I did something different, things would have been different with us forever.”
Then, the video transitions back to the studio, and Aven and Rachel are face to face in the current times. It was the first time that they spoke to each other since Mexico. Now, the things between the two of them are friendly.
Let’s come back to Tino, he made a good impression on Rachel’s family. Tino tells Rachel’s dad, “In the most genuine way I can put it, your daughter does mean the world to me. I’m going to make your daughter happy forever.”
Rachel’s infamously tough dad who garnered the attention of the viewers during Clayton’s season of The Bachelor gave a green light to Tino. He tells Tino, “I do like you.” Rachel’s family is totally smitten by Tino. But in the upcoming teaser for the finale, we saw there is some big trouble in the paradise of Tino and Rachel.
Are Rachel and Tino the final deal?
As per Reality Steve, (a site that is best known for giving Bachelor spoilers), Tino does propose to Rachel in Mexico in the grand finale of the show and the two of them bid adieu to the ABC series as an engaged couple.
According to the latest spoilers from the show, it seems like Tino and Rachel are no longer engaged. It has been four months since the shooting of season 19 of The Bachelorette wrapped up and a lot has changed within the last four months.
In a post, Reality Steve claimed that Rachel and Tino have decided to call off their engagement. As per the post, the couple pulled the plug on their relationship during one of their post-season visits.
During these weekends, the engaged couple gets to spend some time together in a house picked by the producers. The main goal is for the pair to spend quality time together without giving a finale spoiler to the public.
In a teaser clip from part 2 of the finale episode, Tino can be heard saying, “There’s no way this works out. Please, just get me out of this. Let me out.” And in another clip from the property, Rachel can be seen accusing someone of lying and saying, “You’re lying straight to my face. I want an answer for why you did what you did.”
What did Rachel and Gabby have to say about their experience on ‘The Bachelorette’?
During an interview with People magazine in July 2022, Gabby and Rachel spilled the beans on their experience on The Bachelorette. At that time, Gabby said, “It was a huge learning process for everyone because it was such new territory.”
Gabby also told the media outlet, “But the experience Rachel and I had as Bachelorettes was so special and memorable. I don’t think we would have had it any other way. I think people do know at this point that we do each have our own love stories. Of course it was so nice to have each other to lean on and have that built-in support as we were moving through.”
Rachel further added, “It’s just really amazing. We both get to have our own journeys and our own stories, but still have each other along the way.” She also went on to say that there won’t be drama between her and Gabby in the show as they had their communication game on point.
Rachel continued, “I think Gabby and I just went into it talking to each other and knowing that throughout everything, we just had to have communication. And that really just worked for us throughout the whole thing.”
Gabby added, “I think going in, knowing a little bit about it from Clayton’s season and stuff, I feel like we both had the attitude to put each other first. We know each other the best, our relationship above all is the most important. Plus a man that’s worth it isn’t going to have us fight over him, nor would we ever compromise our relationship for it.”
She continued, “It’s only natural to be attracted to the same guys, here and there. We’re human, but it would never be anything that Rachel and I couldn’t figure out on our own, especially always putting our relationship in the forefront of everything.”
Just like Gabby, even Rachel was looking for a fiancé and not a boyfriend. Love can be complicated sometimes. It’s not a piece of cake, it requires a lot of effort and time. We are pretty sure that part 2 of the finale episode of The Bachelorette will be full of drama. The second part of the finale episode will air on Tuesday, September 20.
