Tyga surely knows how to keep his lady love happy! The 33 year old rapper, who started dating Avril Lavigne recently, has gifted the singer a custom-made diamond necklace. Tyga presented the $80,000 worth necklace to his girlfriend on Thursday.
The couple confirmed their romance by appearing together at the Paris Fashion Week last month. They apparently got together shortly after Lavigne ended her engagement with ex-fiancé singer Mod Sun. Read on to know more about Tyga’s precious gift to Lavigne.
Tyga Gifts $80,000 Diamond Necklace Girlfriend Avril Lavigne
The necklace has been designed by New York City-based celebrity jeweler Eric Mavani. The designer has revealed that it consists of ‘50 carats of black diamonds, white diamonds, and pink sapphires.’
The piece has ‘Avril’ written over it and features two letter ‘A’s over pink hearts. The necklace also has two skull heads with crossbones. Eric Mavani shared a video of the jewelry on Instagram on Friday and wrote, “New Piece Made For The Legend @avrillavigne ☠️💗💎🎀.”
Tyga reportedly placed the order for the custom necklace some three weeks ago. As for Lavigne, the singer seems to love the gift. She was seen flaunting the necklace during a recent outing in Los Angeles and even posted a selfie wearing it.
Tyga and Lavigne Made their Relationship Official at the Paris Fashion Week
The two confirmed their romance by kissing each other during their appearance at the Paris Fashion Week in February. They were then spotted together at several events. The news of their relationship came just hours after Lavigne split with Mod Sun, who was said to be shocked by the development.

“They were together and engaged as of three days ago when he left for tour, so if anything has changed, that’s news to him,” a spokesperson for Mod said at the time. The singer still seems to be pissed as he shouted “F*** Tyga” in front of the crowd during a concert in New York City last week.
The statement came in response to rapper Travie McCoy’s speech, who had said, “I just wanted to give all the love I have in my heart right now to a brother, Mod Sun. I will say this: he is one of the three most loyal motherf***ers I have ever met in my life.” Lavigne, 38, and Mod Sun, 36, had been engaged since May 2022.
Avril Lavigne is Working on a Documentary Based on Her Life
The Love It When You Hate Me is also making headlines for her professional life. As per reports, she has signed a deal with Disney+ to come up with a documentary based on her life and music career.
“Avril has been hard at work on this in-depth documentary for a while now and the makers have hundreds of hours of footage. She talks at length about her life in the film, from how she got her break in music. Some of her showbiz pals will also be in the film talking about her,” revealed a source about the project.
