Olivia shared her daughter Chloe with her ex-husband Matt Lattanzi, an actor and dancer she met on the set of her 1980 movie Xanadu. Olivia and her former partner Matt were married from the year 1984 to 1995.
During an interview with People last year, Chloe said, “As a kid, I wasn’t paying attention to her as a celebrity. She’s my mom, you know? Like, she takes me to school. I think as I’ve gotten older, that’s when I got to listening to her music.”
Lattanzi has songwriting credits for her mom’s 2005 single, Can I Trust Your Arms. Later on, she took part in the MTV reality show Rock the Cradle. She ended up at the third spot.
Chloe worked with her mom Olivia in CBS’s ‘A Christmas Romance’
Yes, you read that right. The 36-year-old played the role of daughter of her mom’s character in the 1994 CBS made-for-TV movie A Christmas Romance. Soon afterward, the mother-daughter duo teamed up for the 2001 Showtime film The Wilde Girl.
In an earlier interaction with People, Olivia talked about the experience of working together. At that time, she said, “It was tough because she was learning this is not a game; it’s hard work and the hours are long.”
Olivia spilled the beans on her daughter’s star quality and went on to say, “She would sing and perform and knew the words to everything on the radio and every record. And then she went through a shy period and didn’t want to do it as much. When she was about 13, we made a TV movie together and she sang ‘At Last,’ which is a classic Etta James song. It was so moving, and I went, ‘Oh boy, she has it.'”
Chloe and her mom Olivia were music collaborators
For her 2016 album titled No Pain, Chloe worked with her mom and DJ Dave Audé on the electronic dance single You Have to Believe, which eventually became the first Billboard No. 1 single for the two of them on the Dance Club Songs chart. Let us tell you one more thing, it was the first mother-daughter song to reach No.1 on the chart.
For those of you who are unaware, let us tell you the song You Have to Believe was co-written by Chloe. The track was a reimagining of Newton-John’s 1980 single “Magic” from Xanadu. It was recorded for the cult classic’s 35th anniversary as a tribute to their relationship.
In an earlier interaction with Billboard, Newton-John said, “I met Chloe’s dad on the set of Xanadu, so, without that film, Chloe wouldn’t be here. She was the real ‘magic’ that came out of that film!”
The mother-daughter duo most recently collaborated on the track Window In The Wall. The song saw the light of the day in January of 2021. The song made quite an entrance on the Billboard Pop Music Video chart. It debuted at the top of the chart.
Around the same time, in a press release, Olivia said, “There is always something special about singing with my daughter. She not only has a gorgeous voice, she’s an amazing musician with tremendous instincts as a singer.”
Later on, during an interaction with People, Chloe spilled the beans on collaborating with her mom Olivia and she said,  “I was flattered and honored. She could have asked anyone, and she asked me. That meant the world to me. It’s my dream job — I get to spend time with my favorite person.”
Chloe stood by her mom’s side through thick and thin
Chloe supported her mom Olivia after her breast cancer returned at stage 4 and metastasized to her lower back in 2017. Previously, she battled with the same disease in 1992 and 2013. At that point, Chloe wrote, “My mom and best friend is going to be fine! She will be using medicine that I often talk about.”
The Wings and a Gun singer further added, “We both love you all, and anyone fighting this disease you can beat it. Look for natural remedies as well as what modern medicine can offer. My mom is so powerful she will beat this in no time. All my love to you. And I wish you health, wealth and happiness.”
Is Chloe single or taken?
The answer to the above question is taken. At the moment, Chloe is madly in love with her fiancé James Driskill. As per various reports, she and her longtime love James moved to Oregon to start a weed farm.
According to a report of the Daily Mail, the two of them have been together since the year 2010. It has been reported by People magazine, that Olivia was looking forward to walking her daughter down the aisle. She gave a piece of advice to her daughter and that was, “Don’t change for anybody because that’s not love.”
