Who claimed the release date and the chronological order are just the same? Well, it’s often difficult to tell which movie comes first in terms of plot, and it’s also confusing. The release dates of the films and their chronological order do not correspond, especially when it comes to the X-Men franchise. It’s a little difficult, but we’ve simplified it for you. 1. X-Men First Class (2011)
During the Cold War, Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr team up with several other mutants to save humankind from a nuclear strike and a potential global conflict in the year 1962. The series is based in the aftermath of the Cuban Missile Crisis. They form the first X-Men squad and help save the world.
2. X-Men: Days of Future Past (2014)
Wolverine flies backwards in history to prevent Mystique from decapitating Bolivar Trask, whose assassination leads to the formation of the “Sentinels,” mutant-killing robotics. Days of Future Past, is technically situated in 1973, which is why it is included in this chronology. However, it is also a film set in the future, taking place in the year 2023, that’s basically less than 2 years from now.
3. X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009)
Logan lives quietly with his lover, Kayla, after years in the workforce as a mutant fighter. However, when a character from Logan’s history assassinates Kayla, he is required to seek revenge. The plot officially starts in 1845, when a young Logan’s abilities initially appear, although the movie is set primarily in 1979 and explores how Logan loses his memories.
4. X-Men: Apocalypse (2016)
The really powerful mutant Apocalypse, who has always been worshiped as a deity, wishes to wipe humanity out. To thwart his ambitions, the X-Men must fight next to each other.  A government funded facility discovers a treatment for mutants, and the DNA of a healthy teenager is utilized in the process. The mutant brotherhood is outraged when a “cure” is developed that claims to be able to convert any mutant into a “regular” human being.
9. The Wolverine (2013)

10. Deadpool (2016)

11. The New Mutants (2020)
Mirage, Wolfs-bane, Cannonball, Sunspot, and Magik are five young mutants who are undergoing therapy at a secret location to rid themselves of their deadly abilities. Dr. Cecilia Reyes invites individuals to hear their experience, but their flashbacks quickly morph into horrifying reality as they begin to wonder why they’re being imprisoned and who’s plotting to kill them.
12. Deadpool 2 (2018)
Deadpool is imprisoned after defending a young mutant named Russell from the officials. He escapes, though, and raises a mutant army to stop a time-traveling mercenary from murdering Russell. The teenage X-Men cast makes a brief appearance in the sequel Deadpool 2, which actually took place in the year 2018.
13. Logan (2017)
Logan emerges from retirement to transport Laura, a teenage mutant, to a secure position. All along journey, he joins up with other mutants who are fleeing a terrible business that has been testing them. Logan was released in 2017, although it is set in the year 2029, when mutants are on the verge of extinction.
