Early Life
Jeff was born in the year 1965 in Homestead, Florida. Jeff studied at North Miami Senior High School and completed his graduation from Harvard College with a bachelor’s degree in American history in 1986.
During his school days, he served as president of the school newspaper, “The Harvard Crimson” for one year.
Career
He started his career with NBC as a researcher for NBC Sports’ coverage in 1986. He traveled to various locations across the world from 1986 to 1988 compiling and writing information for Sports commentators and producers of NBC.

In 1989, Jeff joined NBC News as a field producer for the American news and talk morning television show “Today” and was promoted to executive producer of Today in 1992. He created a record as the youngest executive producer in the program’s history when he was 26 years old.
The morning show was ranked at the No. 1 position and held it consistently under his leadership. He was then promoted to President of NBC Entertainment in 2000. Three years later he became President of the NBC Entertainment, News & Cable Group.
In 2004, he served as the president of NBC Universal Television Group and was later elevated to CEO in 2005.
He was heading NBC, the global media and entertainment content company with revenues of $16 billion which included other news divisions and all of its cable entities like MSNBC, CNBC, USA, Bravo, Oxygen, and Syfy.
