McDonald’s typically starts serving lunch at 10:30 am local time from Monday to Friday. However, the timings vary a little during the weekend. On Saturdays and Sundays, lunch is made available at 10:30 am or 11:00 am local time, depending on the location of the outlet.
For example, an outlet in Sacramento, California, and another in Bridge City, Texas, have revealed that they start serving lunch menus at 10:30 am on both weekdays and weekends. On the other hand, outlets in Canton, Michigan, and Crisfield, Maryland, offer lunch at 10:30 am on weekdays and 11:00 am on weekends.
So we suggest you call your nearest outlet to confirm the timings; however, it would not be between 10:30 am to 11:00 am only. The half-hour delay is because the restaurants usually get a huge crowd during breakfast timings on Saturdays and Sundays. So the staff needs a little time to switch over to lunch food items.
Is Lunch Served All Day in McDonald’s?
McDonald’s lunch menu is available from 10:30/11:00 am till the closing of the restaurant. The outlets usually close between 11 pm and midnight, and until then, the lunch items remain available. The hours can vary in some locations on holidays, and the outlet can close a little earlier or later.
However, some outlets offer 24-hour service, which remain open round the clock. Such restaurants explicitly mention that they are open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The lunch menu includes the famous Big Mac, french fries, and other items such as grilled chicken, sausage biscuits, Sausage McMuffins, wraps, fillet-o-fish, and meals.
What is the Difference Between McDonald’s Breakfast and Lunch Menus?
McDonald’s breakfast and lunch menus offer different items. Breakfast is available at the outlets beginning at 5 am on all days. Egg McMuffin, Hash Browns, Sausage, Hotcakes, Fruit & Maple Oatmeal, and other meals are served in the breakfast.
The breakfast menu used to be available throughout the day till March 2020. However, the All Day Breakfast services were stopped after that. “We initially removed All Day Breakfast from the menu to simplify operations in our kitchens, which we saw provided better speed of service and order accuracy for our customers,” the fast food chain had said in a statement at the time.
“We’re evaluating if and how we will bring All Day Breakfast back to our menus,” they had added, hinting that the breakfast menu might be made available throughout the day sometime in the future.
