The Academy Awards, commonly known to the world as “Oscars”, is a prestigious and significant award that recognizes people with artistic and technical merit in the field of entertainment.
The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences hosts this award every year. The first-ever Academy Awards was held more than 93 years ago on 16th May 1929 at The Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel attended by 270 people. The winners are awarded a gold-plated statuette that is commonly called Oscar.

The 94th Academy Awards are scheduled to be held on 27th March 2022 at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. The event will be hosted by Regina Hall, Amy Schumer, and Wanda Sykes.
The event will be telecasted live on ABC at 5 PM PT/8 PM ET on 27th March.
