As of right now, Martin Lawrence’s close pal Jamie Foxx is hospitalized in Georgia. He has been in the hospital since April 11. He talked about Jamie’s health while accepting his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on Thursday, April 20, in Hollywood, California.
For the special occasion, Lawrence was accompanied by his three daughters Amara, Iyanna, and Jasmine. Many of Martin’s friends including Steve Harvey, Tracy Morgan, Tichina Arnold, and Lynn Whitfield also showed up at the event.
During an interview at his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony with Extra, Martin said, “I hear he’s doing better… My prayers go out for him every night and just wishing the best for him, one of the best that we got in Hollywood.”
The Bad Boys for Life star went on to say, “Not only one of the best entertainers but a good person.” He also shared his thoughts on receiving his star and further added, “I feel so blessed and I thank God for this honor and just recognition and my fans and it’s something that I always wanted.”
What happened to Jamie Foxx?
Earlier this month, Jamie was in Georgia to film the Netflix movie Back In Action. He was on the set of the film with Cameron Diaz and Glenn Close. Due to his hospitalization, one stunt double took Jamie’s spot and the second individual served as the photo double for the Academy Award-winning actor.
Foxx was last seen on the sets of the movie on April 10. Then, the actor’s daughter Corinne shared a health update about her father. Then, she stated that he’d sustained “a medical complication” the previous day.
Corinne took to her Instagram page and wrote, “We wanted to share that my father, Jamie Foxx, experienced a medical complication yesterday.”
She went on to say, “Luckily, due to quick action and great care, he is already on his way to recovery. We know how beloved he is and appreciate your prayers. The family asks for privacy during this time.” As of this moment, not much is known about Jamie’s condition.
Along with Corinne, Jamie is also a doting father to his other daughter named Anelise Foxx. At the moment, Corinne who was born on February 15, 1994, is 29 years old, meanwhile, Anelise Bishop who was born on October 3, 2008, is 14 years old.
