Kim Kardashian brought a lot of pearls to the 2023 Met Gala! The former Keeping Up With The Kardashians star marked her attendance at the charity event for the 10th time on Monday.

Kim Kardashian knows how to turn heads at an event. On Monday, May 1, 2023, the reality TV star looked wore a corseted Schiaparelli gown draped in strands of pearls. Her gown consisted of more than 50,000 freshwater pearls and 16,000 crystal pearls. It took around one-dozen artisans 1,000 hours to craft the outfit.
The Kardashians star’s outfit also featured a molded corset in blush satin. She topped off her look with a choker, pearl drop earrings, and a ring made from crystals and baroque pearls. When we talk about her hairstyle, she went for a messy hairdo with face-framing bangs.
During an interview with Vogue, the Skims founder said, “I wanted pearls. I thought, ‘What is more Karl?’ You know, the iconic Chanel pearls is what I always thought of. So we wanted to just be dripping in pearls.”
The mom of four even revealed that her daughter North even picked up some of the pearls that fell off prior to hitting the steps. She added, “some popped on the way, and I told my daughter to grab them all. They’re real pearls and she was putting them all in her purse.”
Kim’s eldest child, daughter North West whom she shares with her ex-husband Kanye West is also in New York City with her. However, she didn’t walk the red carpet with her starlet mother.

Not long ago, Kardashian paid a visit to Karl Lagerfeld’s office and she even got the chance to meet his cat, Choupette. “Had a date with @choupetteofficiel in Paris. We then spent some time at @karllagerfeld’s office to get a little inspiration for the Met,” she wrote in the caption of the post.
In an interview with Vogue magazine, Kim revealed that meeting the fashionable feline was “a little scary.” She went on to say, “It takes a little while to warm up to her. She wrote me a sweet note and left it in my room. We spent some time together before this.”
When the beauty mogul was asked if she felt any pressure to outdo what she wore a year ago, she responded, “This year, I just wanted to feel glamorous. I really didn’t feel the pressure. I just wanted to have a good time.”
