Samsung is going to unveil the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 at the “Unpacked” event taking place on August 10. The upcoming foldables have garnered industry-wide interest due to revolutionary speculations. Now the Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 have leaked hours before their scheduled launch. In 2021, around 7.1 million foldable phones were shipped according to International Data Corporation (IDC). This clearly indicates the huge potential this growing industry holds, and Samsung is the market leader here.
The leaked specs of Samsung’s upcoming foldable devices corroborate our previous guesses about them. We’ve been right on a lot of points. However, you should still take such leaks with a grain of salt until Samsung unveils the official information.
Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 Leaked Specs
This year’s Samsung Unpacked is almost here but leaks about the upcoming Galaxy Flip 4 and Fold 4 are still coming. In the latest one, Bosnian carrier m:tel accidentally listed the foldables for early reservations and revealed their core specs alongside other details.
The pages have been taken down since then but we have captured the information provided.
According to the leak, Galaxy Z Flip 4 will sport a 120Hz 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED display with 1080×2640 pixels resolutions alongside the powerful Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC. It will have 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage on the base variant.
Galaxy Flip 4 will also have two 12MP cameras on the back- a wide and an ultrawide lens just like last year’s version. The battery will reportedly be 3,700 mAh and the dimensions of the device will be 167.9 x 73.6 x 7.2 mm, and the weight will be 183 grams.
Samsung Galaxy Fold 4 Leaked Specs
On the other side, Galaxy Z Fold 4 will feature a 7.6-inch 120Hz Dynamic AMOLED main display with a 1768 x 2208 pixels resolution like last year’s variant. It will also have a 6.2-inch outer display and both panels will allegedly bring wider aspect ratios.
They’ll likely be 21.6:18 for the folding screen and 23.1:9 for the outer panel. As for the specs, it will also boast Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC but with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of Storage for the base model.
Galaxy Fold 4 will sport a 50MP main camera around the back along with 12MP telephoto and ultrawide modules, and a 10MP selfie camera. The battery is a bit bigger than Flip 4 with a 4,400 mAh capacity.
The flagship foldable will also support fast charging for up to 25W speed. It will feature the dimensions of 158 x 128 x 6 mm with 282 grams of weight.
Samsung Galaxy Flip 4 and Fold 4 Leaked Real-Life Images
Apart from the m:tel leak, @Noh_tech on Twitter has also shared some real-life images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4. The images have unveiled the display crease which many are speculating about.
On Flip 4, the metal bits around the hinge are seeming to be slimmer while the edges are looking somewhat flattered when compared to Flip 3. Apart from that, it still holds a very similar design.
Whereas, Fold 4 seems to be more interesting with the hinge area looking much smaller along with the outer display. It’s just like the rumored design that we’ve been expecting for a very long time. However, it’s looking a bit wider in the hand.
We can see an under-display camera on the inner display. Once again, as expected. Although there aren’t many differences design-wise when compared with Fold 3. The display crease is a bit smaller and less noticeable here as well.
Leaked Images Reveal New Color Options for Galaxy Flip 4 & Fold 4
The leak by @Noh_tech also displays new color options for both Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Fold 4. We can see Fold 4 in a bluish gray color and Flip 4 in a blue-color variant.
The remaining options will be unveiled officially at the Unpacked event taking place very soon. The lineup will likely retain the standard colors that fans are too fond of.
